Short animated videos with a voice-over — how to market your business so it sells, and how getting your website works. Transcripts below.
Marketing your business
Where should you market your business? (1:33)
Be where your customers already are. You don’t need every app. You need the two or three places your customers already spend time, and a website they all point to.
Start with Google. When someone nearby searches for what you sell, a complete Google Business Profile puts you on the map, with your hours, photos and reviews.
Show it on Instagram and TikTok. Food, beauty, fashion, homes and events sell with pictures and short videos. Show the work, the people and the results.
Make it easy to message you. In Nigeria, customers buy on WhatsApp. In Canada and the US, they call or text. Make that one tap from every post.
Facebook for your neighbourhood. Local groups and Marketplace still bring in nearby customers, especially families and older buyers.
LinkedIn, if you sell to businesses. Logistics, consulting and other business services win clients by sharing what they know.
Quick check: A bakery wants more walk-in customers. Where should it start? (Answer: A Google Business Profile.)
Your website ties it all together. Every post, profile and ad should lead to one place where people can see your prices and book or buy. That place is your website.

Get found on Google Maps (1:06)
Show up when people search nearby. Most people choose a local business straight from Google Search or Maps. Your free Business Profile is how you get there.
Fill in everything. Add your category, hours, phone, website, services and at least ten good photos. A complete profile earns more calls.
Reviews move you up. Ask happy customers for a review the same day, and reply to every one, good or bad.
Post an update every week. Share offers, new products and events as updates. It shows customers you’re open and active.
Quick check: Which of these helps your profile the most? (Answer: Plenty of recent reviews, with replies.)
Send searchers to your website. Point the website and booking links to your own site, so people can book or order on the spot.
We can set it up with you. Our Google Business Profile setup add-on does the whole thing with you in a few days.
Sell with Instagram (1:03)
Your shop window, in their pocket. People browse food, beauty, fashion, homes and events on Instagram before they buy.
Make your profile easy to read. A clear photo, one line saying what you sell and where, and a link to book or buy.
Reels reach new people. Short vertical videos are shown to people who don’t follow you yet. Show the process, the before and after, the happy customer.
Stories bring regulars back. Post Stories most days: today’s offer, a quick poll, behind the scenes. Save the best ones as Highlights.
Answer DMs fast. Most sales start in the messages. Reply quickly, and send the link to book or buy.
Quick check: What belongs in your Instagram bio? (Answer: What you sell, where, and a link.)
Post three Reels a week for thirty days. Consistency beats perfection. Notice which posts bring messages, and make more like them.
Get discovered on TikTok (0:55)
Strangers become customers. TikTok shows your videos to people based on what they enjoy, not how many followers you have.
Hook them in two seconds. Open with the result, a question or a surprise. Then show how you got there.
Real beats polished. Behind the scenes, before and after, packing orders, a day in the shop. People love the real thing.
Use trends, your way. Join a trending sound or format, but make it about your product or service.
Tell them what to do next. End with one clear step, like book at the link in our bio, or message us to order.
Post short, and post often. Three to five short videos a week is a strong start. Keep doing what works.
Sell on WhatsApp Business (1:01)
A shop in their pocket. WhatsApp Business is free. Customers message you, see your catalogue and order, all in one chat.
Set up your business profile. Add your logo, hours, address, website and a short description. It builds trust in seconds.
Add a catalogue. List your products or services with photos and prices, then send them in one tap.
Quick replies save hours. Save answers to the questions you get every day, like prices, delivery and how to pay, and send them with a shortcut.
Status and broadcasts. Post new arrivals on your Status every day, and send offers to customers who saved your number.
Quick check: Who receives your broadcast messages? (Answer: Only people who saved your number.)
Put a WhatsApp button on your website. One tap from your website to your chat turns visitors into orders.
Facebook for local customers (0:53)
Your neighbours are here. Many families and older customers still look for local businesses, events and recommendations on Facebook.
Be helpful in local groups. Answer questions and share tips in community groups, and only promote where the group rules allow it.
List on Marketplace. Post your products with clear photos and prices. People nearby browse it like a market.
Get recommended. Ask happy customers to recommend you on your Page. People trust their neighbours.
Boost what already works. When a post is doing well on its own, a small boost to people nearby takes it much further.
Link everything back to your website. Your Page is the conversation. Your website is where people check prices and book.
Win business clients on LinkedIn (0:45)
Where business buyers are. If you sell to other businesses, like logistics, consulting, IT or training, LinkedIn is where the decision makers are.
Your profile is your shopfront. A headline that says who you help and how, plus a link to your website.
Share what you know. Short tips, lessons from real jobs and client results build trust before the first call.
Comment before you pitch. Comment thoughtfully on posts by people you’d like to work with. Offer help, not a sales pitch.
Two posts a week is plenty. Steady, useful posts turn into conversations, and conversations turn into quotes.
Paid ads without wasting money (1:11)
Pay to be seen, on purpose. Ads work when you know exactly who you want to reach, and what you want them to do next.
Google ads catch people searching. Someone searches for an emergency plumber near me, and your ad appears right then. You pay when they click.
Facebook and Instagram ads find people. Show your offer to people in your area by age and interests. Great for offers, events and new products.
Start small, and test. Try a small daily budget for a week or two. Keep what brings calls or sales, and stop the rest.
Send them to the right page. Each ad should land on a page made for that offer, with the price and one clear button. Not your home page.
Quick check: Your ad gets plenty of clicks, but no sales. What should you check first? (Answer: The page people land on.)
A good page makes every ad cheaper. When the page converts, every click is worth more. That’s what we build.
7 ways to make more sales (1:28)
More customers isn’t the only answer. Small fixes often turn the visitors and followers you already have into buyers.
1 · Make the next step obvious. Put one clear button on every page and profile: book now, order now, or get a quote.
2 · Reply in minutes. The first business to answer usually wins the sale. Aim for minutes, not hours.
3 · Show proof. Reviews, real photos and customer results calm a buyer’s doubts.
4 · Give a reason to act now. A first visit discount, a free consultation or a bundle turns maybe later into yes.
5 · Follow up, kindly. Most people don’t buy the first time. A friendly message a few days later brings many of them back.
6 · Turn customers into referrals. Happy customers know people like them. A small thank-you for every referral keeps it going.
7 · Make paying easy. Accept the ways your customers like to pay, and confirm straight away.
Quick check: Someone asked for your prices yesterday, but didn’t buy. What now? (Answer: Send a friendly follow-up.)
